I love the look and feel of the game! Right off the bat having Death being annoyed that you interrupted his birthday is just hilarious! One thing I might suggest is that you may want to make power-ups disappear completely once the player has found them, even after death. That way it's a bit more clear that they don't need to collect them again.

I know it's beating a dead horse at this point, but the controls are just weird. Having all of those left click combos right off the bat just feels awkward, and I would agree with some of the other players here that it would be better just to move all of the mouse functions to keyboard keys. I haven't beaten the game because I just can't wrap my head around it yet, though I'm going to give it another try soon.

One last thing: I hope you'll consider making a downloadable version of this. I love playing these games offline, and with a dedicated exe file I could remap all of these different functions to a controller with Xpadder. That would make things a bit easier to work with regardless of the control scheme.

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I appreciate it! I'm really kicking myself over the controls, I'll have to fix them up after the jam has ended. The power ups not disappearing is a great idea and I will try to implement that as well, along with adding a downloadable version when the voting period is over. Thanks again!

This idea is great! But like the rest of the people, I also struggled with controls.

Thanks for playing! Sorry about the wonky controls.

Fun game! The controls are a bit clunky! I would probably move the controls from the mouse to the keyboard, either wasd and jkl or arrow keys and wasd, I feel extremely uncoordinated while playing. But, that's just my suggestion! Overall, solid idea and artwork, I really like the vibe! :)

Also found a weird bug where I got pushed under the gravestone and was invulnerable during the boss fight except for the flash attack.

Thank you! Controls seem to be the main gripe and that's my bad! I should have had other people test it before I got so attached to the control scheme. I'll try and work on the clipping issues in the future, but I wanted to thank you for sticking it out to the boss! I've been told it's a bit of a slog to get to him. Thanks again for the feedback!

Alright, i just beat the final boss, i'll leave a rating once i submitted my game. The controls are rather clunky, meaning you jump into enemies more often than you don't. Unfortunately i did not realise that you keep powerups on death for a while, which made it pretty annoying. Graphics(Especially Animation) look good, and i adore the mechanics. You combined attacking, dashing, deflecting into one move, awesome. Also, i love the dialogue with the death, humour is great. I guess it was a bit short, but that's a good thing, i have to play other games here too.

But, and this is my major point of annoyance, there are too many enemies. I had 5 eyes, candles, ghosts, whatever, chase me at once, which made it impossible to not die. I'm just gonna guess that you placed as many enemies because you wanted to fill the world, but you should really just put some decoration instead, it becomes rather annoying.

Wow! Thank you for the detailed feedback! I truly appreciate it! I'll add that you keep power-ups on death to the description for now, but that should have been clear in game, that's a blunder on my part.

The controls being clunky seems to be the main issue that people have been having. I'll try and rework these in the future. You're spot on with the enemies, I ran out of time to work on the BG and world filling decorations, but I shouldn't have added so many.

Thanks again for taking the time to play my game!

I haven't finished the game YET, but it's really good. Graphics, in particular animations are super clean, the music is really nice too. Control is a bit stiff, but still really good and go well with the gameplay. Overall a very nice, well polished game.

Thank you for the feedback!
